One of the most memorable events in Tom’s career as a pastry chef was when he got the opportunity to make Julia Child’s 80th birthday cake — not just because he was chosen for the honor, but because Ms. Child is one of Tom’s all-time culinary heroes. Cooking has always been a creative outlet for Tom, who says that his work philosophy can be summed up in three simple ideas:
“Think ahead, stay organized, and work clean.”
Tom, who in addition to being a master pastry chef has a masters in English Literature, enjoys reading, movies, and gardening.
